Nike Monopoly Day

We transformed LeBron’s House 330 community center in Akron Ohio, where he grew up, paying homage to the design language of the OG Monopoly board to celebrate his sneaker collaboration with the iconic game.

The space features gaming stations where families can play together to earn 'Bucks'. Then students can spend their Monopoly winnings at a market filled with local business pop ups, letting them reinvest in the community, and put smart money habits into practice.

Students not only learned the value of keeping their money in their community, but also leave with a better understanding of good money habits through educational elements of the game itself.

The kids also got to take home the limited edition board and a pair of sneakers as LeBron’s token of appreciation for his community.

The goal was to create a pop-art inspired “tiny town” for the kids that felt youthful, vibrant, and fun. Faux business facades, sticker bombs, street signs, wheat pasted poster, and so  many other detail to bring this space to life.

We made wheat pasted posters of financial tips, street signs from the game board, and a faux sneaker shop/sneaker display where the kids were gifted a pair of sneakers.
